If you are a diabetes sufferer, you are not alone as more than 30 million people worldwide are affected by this disease.
Diabetes can affect people of all ages, male or female. It does not discriminate.
The most common cause of diabetes is diet and lifestyle, generally associated with a neglect and abuse of the body’s necessary requirements to maintain good health. The choices made in the past have had a profound influence on the current state of your well being to-day.
One of the most important ways of controlling diabetes is via a vegetarian lifestyle complimented by low fat, high fiber, nutrient and vitamin rich foods.
Usually, most of the food we eat is digested and converted to glucose, a sugar which is carried by the blood to all cells in the body and used for energy. When you eliminate high-fat meat and processed foods from your diet, much of your body’s energy is not consumed with digesting these foods and is therefore more able to do it’s work by helping to clear your blood, your organs and your mind. You will soon realize and become aware of the toxic nature and harmful bacteria in the food you have been eating.
When we change to a vegetarian diet, not only does our digestive system start to work better, but we start to feel more energized and the previous sluggish feeling starts to disappear.
Quite often diabetics suffer from problems such as fatigue, weakness, inability to concentrate, loss of co-ordination and blurred vision. This is caused by an inbalance of food intake and insulin and low blood sugar levels.
A vegetarian lifestyle for diabetics as a result of a meatless diet, can assist in reducing the amount of insulin the body requires and can give sufferers a feeling of more control over the disease.
Once you commence vegetarian meals, your body will eventually cleanse itself of the harmful effects of the toxic foods you have been eating.
Your next move is to educate yourself on the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. You can start with subtle changes in your eating habits, with a view to making a total change in as short a period as possible.
Vegetarian recipes and foods can be prepared to taste delicious and before long you won’t have a thought of using any meats in your meals.
This is a life changing and life prolonging step you are taking. "Vegetarianism and Diabetes - Friends for Life!!"
