Diabetic Tips

Most countries in the world, are reporting an increase in diabetes. In some countries, the people claim it is a “rich person’s disease” possibly because the rich can afford better food or maybe a different type of food than the people around them can. I find that statement questionable because we know what causes diabetes and SOME OF US KNOW THERE IS A CURE.
The disease is a result of the way we live. In most people, excess weight is the trigger for diabetes. Why do we have excess weight you might ask? Some countries it seems to relate to the color of their skin and not so much to the obesity but in some islands of the Pacific, it is both. In the Pacific Islands where Diabetes is rampant and according to Wikipedia “70% of Tongan women aged 15-85 are obese. Tonga and nearby Nauru have the world’s highest overweight and obese populations…” It is often not the case for some Asians, such as Chinese, Koreans, Taiwanese, Thais, and Filipinos. In today’s Asian society, especially Asians that have grown up in western countries we see six foot tall well-built Asians, much larger than then normal.
The WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION claim approximately 350 million obese people (BMI?30.0) and over 1 billion overweight people (BMI?25) in the world. Over all about 2.5 million deaths are attributed to overweight/obesity worldwide
Being over-weight has a many of associated problems leading to a lifestyle of medication to treat the associated problems, normally many.
* Diabetes type 2
* heart disease
* Stroke
* High Blood pressure
* High cholesterol
* Osteoarthritis
* Cancers
Diabetes is manageable with side effects BUT can also be CURED, IF YOU KNOW HOW.
LEARNING ABOUT DIABETES IS IMPORTANT and not just listening to your doctor, and pharmaceutical companies, who do not want to lose a customer/client.
KNOWLEDGE will help you understand the causes, and why you must plan your diet and your food intake that should be a healthy, well balance meal, excluding anything that contains saturated fats, sugar, or refined carbohydrates. If you know why you should be avoiding those then you are on your way to curing yourself of diabetes. Do you want diabetes, a simple yes or no?
Understand the Body Mass Index (BMI) and know where you fit in to that program. Exercise is a must, walking does wonders to reduce weight even if it is 20 minutes a day. It helps make you feel better and no more huffing and puffing when you walk the stairs.
Listen to counsel of your doctor at all times, as he generally is an expert on managing your diabetes. Most doctors not experts on curing diabetes; you cure your diabetes and fire your doctor. Anyway, who wants to be a diabetic? So what are you going to do about it?
By reducing your BMI using natural things, you reduce the need for medication. Your doctor can advise you there. Monitor your blood levels.
By changing the type of food you shovel into your mouth, you will reduce your need to take all the associated diabetic medication. There are a number of natural products out there that will assist in the meantime.
GINKGO: Helps with circulation
AMPALAYA or Bitter Melon: Increases insulin sensitivity
ZINC: Helps break down carbohydrates
CHROMIUM: Helps increase insulin sensitivity
CINNAMON: Helps lower blood sugar level and cholesterol
BIOTIN: Helps cell growth (diabetes have low levels of this)
FENUGREEK: Helps lower cholesterol
BANABA: Helps reduce blood sugar levels and weight loss
GYMNEMA: Helps reduce the desire for sugar (often called sugar destroyer)
Plan for a new wardrobe, you will need one or even two until you reach the right BMI.
I challenge you to change your food intake and walk 20 minutes a day.
