Choosing the best diet for insulin resistance recalls the same strategy as for diabetes. That means that you should include all type of food into your daily menu.

However, you can “build up” your diet with low carbs, low fat and protein. Of course, fruits and vegetables (rich in fibers) are your best choice.

It is very important to avoid unrefined food. They raise your blood sugar and do not help to get your insulin sensibility back.

This is your main goal when choosing the strategies against insulin resistance. You need to have your insulin sensibility back. The diet helps, but cannot do all the work alone.

Keep in mind that being active, exercising, changing your lifestyle habits on a good route will give better results than the diet for insulin resistance alone.

Actually, there are two types of diets for insulin resistance that meet the above characteristics. And perhaps you may have heard about The South Beach Diet (by Arthur Agatson M.D.) and The Paleo Diet (by Loren Cordain Ph.D.)

Both of them try to eliminate the hunger cravings the people with insulin resistance experience. Basically, what do they advise is to eliminate the foods rich in carbs, use of lean meats, fruits and vegetables, nuts and seafood.

All the above mimics what our ancestors have done this time in modern ages we live. So, give a try to the above diets. A diet does not necessary mean the one which helps to lose weight. A diet is your “fuel” you need for daily activities and to keep fit. Make the right choice. Everything is in your hands.

Once more I want to remind you that the diets cannot work all alone.
