Posted by admin in Prescription Diabetes Drugs on February 17th, 2011
It seems that our modern lifestyle has caused a lot of harm to our bodies in part due to our dietary habits. Many of us reach the age of 50 with serious problems including high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. Many people in their middle ages suffer from high sugar symptoms without ever knowing it. High blood sugar, also known as hyperglycemia is becoming more common in middle age.
Hyperglycemia can be described as a surplus of sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream. The body’s endocrine system regulates the amount of glucose that is stored and how it is used for energy. Many people may experience symptoms and consider them harmless.
Normal blood glucose levels read out at 60-110 mg. Those levels are lower in the morning and tend to rise after meals. ?Levels higher than these might indicate hyperglycemia.
High glucose symptoms can lead to both minor and more severe blood sugar related conditions for a lot of people with diabetes. It is important for people who might suspect a problem to talk to their doctor about being tested and to continue to test their blood sugar on a regular basis. Some early symptoms are:
- Unexplained weight loss
- Always being hungry or thirsty
- “Cotton mouth” or Dry mouth
- Constant need to urinate
- Experience abnormally dry or itchy skin
- Suffer from fatigue or extreme tiredness
- Experience blurred vision
- Recurrent infections or slow healing of woundsErectile dysfunction or impotence
If you experience any of the above high glucose symptoms see your doctor for further tests. There are a number of long-term health risks associated with the symptoms of high blood sugar so it is advised to contact your doctor for a proper diagnosis of any high blood sugar symptoms you may be experiencing.
If you use blood glucose level analyzers, and follow a sound nutrition and exercise plan, you may not suffer from any long-term health problems associated with the symptoms of hyperglycemia. It is important to note that everyone should be doing these things regardless in order to maintain a healthy life.
