Posted by admin in Prescription Diabetes Drugs on February 19th, 2011
Since man has been dependent on home machine equipment they have forgotten the joys of doing it manually and thus making unhealthy because all they do now is sit on the couch and just relax for most to the days. Children who were used to playing outside of their home are now playing Playstation games or whatever home recreational activities they have at home. Most of their friends will come to their home and play indoor games instead of playing outside and breathing some fresh air. Indeed this lifestyle has been the major factor for becoming weak and prone to diseases.
You may not know it because it isn’t easy to detect. We should know the early signs of diabetes so that we could do something about it and help our body fight it before it is too late and we got other related problems. If you know any medical practitioner about diabetes then it would be advisable to consul them for advices on diets, medications, and exercises. Diabetes is unlike other health related problem wherein we could just forget about it once it has been treated; it is a lifetime disease that we must learn to control.
Weakening
This is the earliest sign that I felt with my body. I was on the Gym that day and doing my usual routine when I felt that I felt I was weak. I know that it was not my limit since I was doing that exercise on a daily routine. The moment that I got home, I told my mother about it and she tested my blood sugar level with a blood sugar level tester, this is the time that we found out that I did have diabetes. My blood sugar that day was 360.
Frequent urination
As time passes, I just noticed that I am urinating more times as usual in a single day.
Thirstiness
As usual since I am urinating more than before, I have to replace the fluids in my body by drinking a lot of water. Before knowing that I have diabetes, I never thought of it that way but now that I am aware I realized that it was a sign of diabetes.
Feeling hungry most of the time
Before I was diagnosed with diabetes, I have always felt that I need to eat something at night before going to sleep. I felt hungry most of the time that it was too hard for me to rest. Now I am keeping a biscuit on my room so that I could munch on it whenever I am feeling hungry.
Sudden drop of weight
Although I never felt this symptom before I believe it is one of the symptoms that everyone should be aware of. Experts say that some diabetic drop their weight even they aren’t doing some exercise and diet.
Honesty, I would want that to happen to me since my doctor said that I need to loose weight.
Tiredness
I find out that I become tired easily even I am not doing anything. I need to stay in bed and to regain my strength. This is the reason why I decided to stay and work at home in the first place. I don’t believe that any employer offline would understand it.
Dizziness
I am feeling dizzy most to the time that I need to stop working even though I am just working inside my room. I am forced to sleep during daytime, this must be the reason why I am finding it hard to sleep at night, and I have already slept during the day.
Poor Vision
I am not suffering from this but my mother is and is having some trouble seeing clearly anything that she is looking at.
You may not notice some of this but the important thing is that you should be aware of this. Once you have notice that symptoms of diabetes, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Cinnamon - A Tasty Nutrient For Diabetes
Posted by admin in Prescription Diabetes Drugs on April 02nd, 2010
You’ve been diagnosed with Diabetes, but you don’t want to surrender your life to it. This article is about a nutritional alternative for living with Diabetes, not just existing - Cinnamon.
Diabetes is a chronic (lifelong) disease marked by high levels of sugar in the blood. Medications taken orally, injected, or transfused may be some of the first things your doctors will recommend. However, there are a number of natural remedies that can safely be utilized along with doctor-prescribed medications and the approval of your doctor - one of them being Cinnamon, and many doctors are pleased to see that their patients are taking initiative in the treatment of their health issue.
A report published in Diabetes Care illustrated that 3 grams of cinnamon a day among other things produced the best results but no dosage was recommended; that cinnamon may decrease insulin resistance and allow the body to make better use of the insulin that is made in the pancreas; improve insulin sensitivity which in turn lowers blood glucose levels; as well as help to lower blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Nutritional, and readily available, cinnamon can also have a positive effect on lowering triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol. While this and other findings are positive, and more research must be done in order to determine in cinnamon can in fact help those with type 2 diabetes, scores of people with diabetes swear that cinnamon has helped them to moderate their blood glucose.
This information in not medical prescribing and always remember, before using cinnamon in large quantities for diabetes or insulin resistance, especially if you are already taking prescribed medications, your medical practitioner should first be consulted. Cinnamon mimics the effect of insulin in the body and so blood glucose levels may drop too low. In small, controlled doses for flavoring foods and drinks, it should have nothing more than a positive effect on the body, but when used in larger more frequent doses a medical professional should be consulted and should never take the place of any prescribed diabetes medications without physician authorization.
